Editorial policy and testing standards

How we decide what to publish, how browser tools are checked, and how corrections are handled.

Who creates WebFixKit content

WebFixKit pages are produced and maintained by the WebFixKit editorial team. We write for people who need a quick, understandable result from a browser tool. We do not claim professional qualifications that we do not have, and we identify when a task requires specialist review.

How tools are tested

Before a tool is listed publicly, we check its primary input, output, empty-state behavior, common invalid inputs, keyboard accessibility, and mobile layout. File tools are checked with ordinary sample files that we are permitted to use. Calculators are compared with independently worked examples. A passing test means the documented workflow worked in the tested browser; it is not a guarantee for every file or use case.

How guides are written

Guides should explain the actual task, useful input choices, output limitations, and a verification step. We do not publish copied vendor documentation or change dates merely to make pages appear fresh. Automation may assist with formatting or quality checks, but every public page remains subject to human review.

Financial and technical information

Calculators provide estimates, not financial, tax, investment, legal, or lending advice. Developer and security tools are for authorized, defensive work. Users should verify production code, accessibility results, and financial outputs with appropriate qualified professionals.

Advertising independence

Advertising, if introduced, will not determine tool results or editorial conclusions. Sponsored material will be clearly labelled. We will not ask visitors to click advertisements or disguise ads as tool controls.

Corrections

If a result or explanation appears wrong, email support@webfixkit.com with the page URL, browser, input type, expected result, and observed result. Do not send confidential data. Reproducible errors are prioritized, corrected, and retested.
